Greetings donors, large and small!  With your consistent help for over thirty years, we are now able to enjoy the beauty, space, and facilities of a wonderful new library.  We especially thank the major donors whose names grace the Charter Donors wall, installed in 2003, for their help with funds which enabled us to increase the size of the library's meeting room and children's area.

Because our present library has not only new, but increased needs for financial assistance, we are issuing an appeal for your continued support.  We welcome all your contributions to the endowments of the Chinese Heritage Collection, Children's Books & Programs, and the Homework Center, or  the library's Area of Greatest Need.

Following new guidelines approved by the Los Angeles Public Library Commission, we had to alter requirements for names to be permanently inscribed on the new section of our Major Donors wall located next to the Charter Donors wall at the entrance to the library.  Both the original Charter wall as well as the new Major Donors wall were beautifully designed by graphic artist Diane Jeng Wong.  Major donors of $5,000 and over will be recognized on both walls.   As each panel of the Major Donors wall is completed with twelve names, another panel will be activated until all twelve panels are filled, celebrating a total of 144 major donors.  Other donors will be acknowledged in our newsletter and on this website.  This new policy now abides by the rules and regulations applicable to all 70 branches of the Los Angeles Public Library system.
